Lexi's involvement in cinema is driven by her interest in neurology and Jungian psychology, aiming to depict the internal experiences of the mind. Her work thoughtfully explores predator/prey dynamics, evolutionary instincts, and the realms of nightmares and dreams. Her professional journey has included roles in technical theatre, video production, design, and animation. Lexi earned an MFA|EDA from Duke University and has served in staff and teaching positions at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Berea College, and currently, the University of Kentucky. She is also the mother of a remarkable son, Ilya, with whom she collaborates on filmmaking projects.

Whether she is creating imagery with Mordançage-processed silver prints, film, video, foam board masks, fallen tree branches, or light, Lexi focuses on transforming a suffering identity into one that surpasses its suffering by recognizing its evolving form.
