Leah, a retired English teacher, is cautioned by her wife Kate about the quiet return of their estranged daughter. This poignant drama delves into Leah’s pursuit of a bond with her non-biological child and the release of her wife’s persistent memory. It is a gentle examination of what defines grief and its significance in life.

Ilona Molnar, born in Germany, had her first professional stage experience at eighteen in Helen Körte’s Szenen eines Kulturvolkes (‘Scenes of a Cultural Tribe’) at the Gallustheater in Frankfurt, Germany. She pursued classical training at a drama school in London, UK, for four years. Her credits include Evillene in The Wiz directed by Matthew Xia; Lady Macbeth in Macbeth directed by Ché Walker; Mama Eurelie in Once on this Island directed by Vik Sivalingam, along with roles in films like Gangs of Tooting Broadway and Good Grief. She earned a first-class honours degree in Film Production from Middlesex University, an MA in Creative Writing, and studied Screenwriting and Film at the University of Exeter. After her academic journey, this is the first short film she has both written and directed.
