Tim, a 9-year-old, grows up in a household where his stepfather's violence endangers the delicate stability of his family. To shield his mother and hold onto a piece of his childhood, he learns to deceive, both at school and at home. "Hopscotch" is a short drama film from France, directed by Alicia Betty Fall. The film is set to be screened as a nominee at the Montreal Women Film Festival on September 6th, 2026, at the Cinema du Parc.

Alicia Fall is a journalist and former television presenter who has worked with TF1, Canal+, and France Télévisions. She currently works as a producer, director, and screenwriter.

In 2025, through her company Waalo Productions, she co-produced the feature film "La Mémoire du Manguier" with Canal+, which received the Audience Award at the Brussels International Film Festival and was an official selection at the Luxor African Film Festival.

For over twenty years, she has been dedicated to advocating for and safeguarding children's rights. Her films delve into childhood through personal narratives and social realities.
