The Montreal Women Film Festival serves as a symbol of empowerment, creativity, and innovation, highlighting the exceptional contributions of women in film and media.

Screenings at Cinema du Parc, in collaboration with Women Cinema Daily magazine, present a range of genres to honor International Women's Day. These live and online events feature the impact of independent female filmmakers who create short films and features in drama, documentary, animation, experimental, and other genres. Each season, we host a competition acknowledged by IMDb for female artists in various categories.

The inaugural edition of the Montreal Women Film Festival began a few years ago at Cinema du Parc on March 8th for International Women's Day, where Linda Serpone, President of the Montreal Council of Women, discussed the festival's significance in recognizing films about women's rights and promoting women directors. The committee of the festival announced the winners of the recent seasonal competition today, January 21st.
